Anti-Money Laundering Policy (AML)
Laatst bijgewerkt: 19 juni 2026
1. Introduction
Casoola takes its responsibilities in the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing seriously. This policy describes the measures we take to protect our services from misuse. We comply with the AU Money Laundering Regulations 2017 (MLR 2017), the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, and all applicable requirements set by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) (ACMA) and HMRC.
2. Know Your Customer (KYC)
Casoola carries out mandatory identity checks on all players. This includes:
- Verification of identity document (passport, driving licence, or national identity card)
- Verification of residential address (via utility bill or bank statement)
- Verification of payment method (proof of ownership)
- Source of Funds checks for higher deposit amounts under MLR 2017
Further information about the verification process can be found on our KYC / Verification page.
3. Transaction Monitoring
We monitor all transactions for unusual patterns. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Repeated deposits below the reporting threshold
- Deposits followed by minimal gaming activity and withdrawal requests
- Use of multiple payment methods without a logical explanation
- Sudden and significant increases in deposit amounts
4. Reporting Obligations
Suspicious transactions are reported to the relevant authorities, including HMRC's Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) regime. Casoola reserves the right to:
- Freeze accounts where money laundering is suspected
- Request additional documentation
- Decline or cancel transactions
- Permanently close accounts where violations are proven
5. Risk Assessment
We carry out ongoing risk assessments based on customer profile, transaction behaviour, and geographical location. Players with a higher risk profile are subject to enhanced due diligence (EDD) as required under MLR 2017.
6. Staff Training
All staff receive regular training in identifying suspicious activities and complying with AML procedures. Our compliance team monitors adherence and reports to senior management in line with ACMA licence conditions.
